How Chloe Campbell is Transforming the Live Painting Industry Through Cloud Studio Agency
How Chloe scaled a creative calling into a global business
Hello Founders,
In this week’s edition of The Founders Society Substack, we’re thrilled to share insights from our conversation with Chloe Campbell, founder of Cloud Studio Agency and Layover Events. Chloe’s journey from discovering her artistic talents to scaling a global live-painting business is nothing short of inspiring.
Through her entrepreneurial vision and focus on professionalism, Chloe has transformed a passion into a thriving agency, proving that creativity and business can go hand in hand.
Chloe’s Artistic Beginning
Chloe’s journey begins with an unexpected twist. Though her creative talent was evident from a young age, she initially charted a path toward becoming a dentist. It wasn’t until her father, ever the keen observer, recognized her natural artistic gift that he encouraged her to rethink her future. His words became a turning point, urging her to follow her true calling. That advice led her to the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), where she would not only hone her artistic skills but also discover the transformative power of creativity.
While at SCAD, Chloe pursued a degree in fashion, but her passion for art never waned. It was during this time that a friend introduced her to the concept of live painting at weddings—a revelation that would shape the course of her career. Chloe began sharing her live painting creations on social media, and her story took flight.
In those early days, as she painted live at weddings, Chloe realized something profound: her art had the power to not only document but to create lasting memories. This was more than just a service—it was an experience that left an indelible mark on every couple’s celebration.
Building Cloud Studio Agency
Chloe’s live painting business took off, and before long, she found herself turning away more live painting clients than she was booking — which sparked the idea of transforming this solo endeavor into a scalable business.
Recognizing the potential to serve more clients while supporting other artists, Chloe founded Cloud Studio Agency, now a collective of 12 skilled painters who travel the world, bringing live painting experiences to life at events.
Elevating the Wedding Industry
Chloe has watched firsthand as live painting has evolved into a highly sought-after service within the wedding industry. With more artists entering the space, she emphasizes the growing importance of finding a unique edge to truly stand out.
What sets Cloud Studio apart? It’s a perfect blend of professionalism and efficiency—two key areas where Chloe excels. By strategically leveraging CRM platforms and virtual assistants to streamline client relationships and manage logistics, she creates a smooth, seamless experience that allows her team to focus on what they do best: delivering unforgettable moments at every event.
This approach not only ensures consistency but also fosters a level of trust and reliability that clients appreciate. Chloe encourages all entrepreneurs to embrace this mindset, emphasizing that operational excellence is just as crucial as creative talent in building a sustainable business.

Introducing Layover Events
A standout moment during our conversation came when Chloe shared the exciting launch of Layover Events, an innovative new initiative created to connect live painters from across the country, offering them a platform to learn, grow, and celebrate their successes together.
The first gathering, held in Charleston, was a resounding success. It was more than just an event—it was a gathering designed to inspire and empower artists at every stage of their journey. The agenda was packed with enriching experiences, including:
Educational panels and workshops aimed at helping artists refine their craft and take their businesses to the next level. These sessions weren’t just about technique, but also about strategic growth in a competitive industry.
Networking opportunities that enabled artists to build a global community of like-minded creatives, forging connections that will support them long after the event ends.
A welcoming environment where collaboration and inspiration thrived, allowing attendees to share ideas and celebrate the art of live painting.

But Chloe’s vision doesn’t stop there. She sees Layover Events as just the beginning, with plans to broaden the scope of these gatherings to include artists from all creative disciplines. By fostering a space where creatives of all kinds can come together to learn, collaborate, and support one another, Chloe is on a mission to cultivate a thriving artistic community that stretches beyond the realm of live painting.
If there’s one thing we know for sure, it’s that everything Chloe touches turns to gold—and we can’t wait to see how Layover evolves and where it goes next!
